Ubisoft look to be planning for the future by announcing its expectation of the arrival of the next generation of consoles by the year 2012. In efforts to prepare for this, the major French games company are bulking up their staff and enacting mergers, in attempts to provide a greater supply of resources and manpower for the future.

Ubisoft seem to be emanating confidence, even in these hard economic times, with CEO, Yves Guillemot, saying that the company now has the resources to be able “to get ready for the coming of the next generation consoles that are probably going to happen 2011, 2012”.
