Ubi-hate Gate causes fans to attack a lead developer from Ubisoft Annecy on social network site Twitter.

On 29th December 2013 a lead developer from Ubisoft Annecy was verbally attacked by fans on social network site Twitter. This caused the developer to leave twitter until further notice. What caused all of this was due to a fan having ago at the developer due to connection issues for online multiplayer for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. The fan in question tweeted “Another Xbox freeze by ACMP… good stuff nitch” this then escalated between the fan and the developer, “and you think I’m responsible for the lock up? Wow…” “I helped make the game Lang with a huge amount of other people but sure keep making your petty tweets”.

All of this then got out of hand within seconds another fan verbally attacked the developer and said “I can’t stand Tim Browne. @StayIrie757 wasn’t aggro at all and he starts getting all short with him shit. I want to pop that clown in the face!”.

After all of this confrontation this has left the lead developer to leave twitter and left an automated response message stating “Thanks for the tweet / mention. I am currently take a break from twitter”, and then a tweet saying “Right time to delete my twitter apps temporarily. See you on the other side”.
