Twitter, Facebook and Last.FM available to under 18s thanks to recent update

An update to the social-networking applications on Xbox Live allowing users under the age of 18 year-olds to access Twitter, Facebook and Last.FM on their Xbox 360 consoles has been released.

However, the update, which isn’t available in the U.S. until the 15th December, requires parental approval for those on a child account. Major Nelson hints that users set “automatically log in or remember me when setting up the application for the first time, otherwise [they] will be prompted for parental permission every time [they] launch the application.”

You can read Console Monster’s first impressions of the applications here and don’t forget to check Console Monster every Sunday for chances to win Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network titles via Twitter.
