Titanfall leads to 96% jump in Xbox One hardware sales

The launch of Titanfall has led to a 96 per cent increase in Xbox One hardware sales in the UK, Chart-Track has revealed.

The figure was announced alongside this week’s All-Formats Charts, where Titanfall snatched the no.1 spot from highly-anticipated competitor Dark Souls 2.

While exact sales numbers have not been confirmed, the official Titanfall bundle accounted for 70 per cent of all Xbox One hardware sold last week, which includes a free digital copy of Respawn’s shooter.

The jump also follows last month’s permanent price drop that saw the console slashed from £429.99 to £399.99.
