THQ has signed up to become the publisher of FPS, Metro 2033.

Developed by 4A-Games, the Ukranian shooter will launch early next year.

It was first revealed way back in 2006 at the German Games Convention. Since then, the game took a low profile and resurfaced recently.

Staff on the game are former S.T.A.L.K.E.R employees which gives an indication as to what the game feels like.

The game is based on a novel released in Russia with its sequel recently arriving over there. It is set in Moscow in the year 2033 (no way!) and follows a guy called Artyom who lives underground in the Metro system. His reason for being down there is that the earth was turned into poision 20 years previously.

We don’t know much else mind, but you can view a trailer on the official Metro 2033 website.

Rob Rymond

Currently residing between Solihull and Stoke, Rob is training to be a professional journalist at Staffordshire University. He has a wealth of experience under his belt and has been writing for 7 years despite only being 19. He thrives on news and reporting it but also dabbles with reviews as well from time to time. Outside of video games he is also a radio broadcaster (or DJ to me and you) and spends time with his girlfriend.
