Technical comparison aficionados have compared the PlayStation digital release of GTA V against the disc-based retail version of the game, and it shows some alarming results for the digital download. Granted, not all digital downloads suffer, but with content as large as GTA V there is a lot of data being passed through your console’s CPU, Memory and GPU. Installing the Play disc has also shown similar results, with the disc version giving much a smoother experience.
Hopefully gamers who have chosen to go with the digital version of the game will see a patch that will fix this soon. However, as it has been warned, if you own the disc version of the game, it is best NOT to install the Play disc just yet.
