The Halo Channel to launch ‘later this year’

The Halo Channel will launch on the Xbox One later this year, it has been revealed.

Announced during Microsoft’s Gamescom conference earlier today (Tuesday, August 12th, 2014), The Halo Channel is a new interactive digital network which is set to provide users with “unprecedented, personalised access to the Halo Universe”.

Such features of the channel include watching existing and upcoming original programming, community content, a Halo Encyclopaedia and the ability to join friends in a game of Halo.

The Halo Channel also contains full Twitch integration, making it possible for gamers to broadcast gameplay or to watch feeds from the Halo community.

While no specific release date was announced, it is expected to launch alongside Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which is set to release on November 14th, 2014.
