UPDATE: Even after confirmations from a representative at Capcom that the trailer was in fact shown at the Tokyo Game Show this morning, new sources from Capcom have since confirmed the trailer to be a fake.
Today at the Tokyo Game Show Capcom officially announced Resident Evil 6 (aka Biohazard 6 in Japan.) The trailer shown gives no real footage or information other than a few lines of text, a photo of the earth, and the Biohazard 6 logo. The end of the video does show what appears to be the coordinates 48.415802,-89.2673, which points to Thunder Bay, ON, Canada(Your guess is as good as mine). But the trailer is, at the very least, a solid confirmation of the next installment in the series. The game was rumored as far back as 2009, with sources claiming it to be a complete reboot of the series. This has yet to be officially confirmed. Being a longtime fan of the Resident Evil series, I can’t help but be excited. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments section.
