Go to the dark side with a brand-new trailer for Starbreeze Studio’s upcoming spooky title – The Darkness for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 platforms. You can now download this trailer on Microsoft’s Xbox Live Marketplace, for FREE, unfortunately if you’re from Germany you wont be able to download this content (Sorry).
The trailer entitled ’Thrill’ shows off some astonishing powers once you’ve gone to the dark side, as if it were fueled by the devil himself, the trailer is very graphic so make sure your mum doesn’t catch you.
Starbreeze Studios are well known for their highly praised title – Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, which scored very high scores on the original Xbox and PC. The Swedish Developer wants to expand on that success with ’The Darkness’. The Darkness will mix a First-Person shooter element with extraordinary superhuman powers. You’ll play as Jackie Estacado who is part of the Franchetti Family Mob based in New York City. It’s your 21st birthday, a birthday you’ll never forget when you’re kidnapped by (yup you guessed it) ’The Darkness’
The Darkness will also include local and live multiplayer including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Survival. Survival will have everyone start of as a mere human, but one player will be engrossed in darkness, its your job to bring these humans to the dark side, the last human alive, wins.
