A demo being released on time is about as rare as the Dodo. Is there truly any point in having release dates if companies aren’t going to abide by them, there such a thing as deadlines, but gaming companies don’t realise it.
Anyway, as you’ve probably guessed the much anticipated Prey demo has been delayed. The demo looked set to be released tonight, but that isn’t the case anymore. The boys at 3DRealms released the following statement about the demo – ‘We do not want 360 people waiting up for the demo or having false expectations. The 360 demo will not appear on Marketplace tonight.
I’m still waiting for specifcs, but I’m being told that it’s still in testing at Microsoft. From what I understand this isn’t Microsoft’s fault, and is more likely just an issue of timing.
I’m hesitant to give any estimates for a release, but I’ve been told it should be reasonably soon after the pc release, but could be as long as a few days ‘
So there you have it, 3DRealms has confirmed that the demo is delayed and they have no idea when it will be ready, well thats helpful.
