SOCOM fans, take a seat. Ibetter make sure you’re sitting down before Iunleash this bit of news to you. Ready?SOCOM 4 has been pushed back until 2011 and therefore will not release this year as initially expected.
The sad news broke via a post on SOCOM’s official blog. It stated:
“While we’re certainly aware that you’ve been looking forward to playing SOCOM 4 this year, we don’t want to take any shortcuts, Instead, we want to deliver the best and most immersive SOCOM game we possibly can and we’re going to use our extra time to do just that.”
When asked why by Joystick, SCEA’s senior corporate communications director Patrick Seybold replied…
“the team is focusing on additional features which will help to deliver the most compelling and immersion SOCOM experience yet. Please look out for further updates and announcements over the coming months.”
This is just another game to add to the pile of games that constantly get pushed back as developers promise a better game will come of it. Share your thoughts in a comment below!
