It turns out thatSanzaruGames’ upcoming title, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, will not be aPlayStation3 exclusive. According to the developer (once again,SanzaruGames), the title will also hitSCE’snewesthandheldconsole, thePlayStationVita. They announced on May 18th on the PlayStationblogthat the full game will be available to play on thePSV. It will be released the very same day as its PS3 counterpart.
There will be a few minor differences between the two versions.SanzaruGames’ president and CEO Glen Egan stated in theblogpost that thePlayStationVita version will have both front and rear touch screen/pad support regardinggameplay.The motion controls of the system will also be utilized. ThePSV’scompatibilitywith the PS3 will be used. The cross-save feature will allow the player to start playing the game on the PS3, save it, and continue the same game where you left off on the Vita and vise versa.
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is the fourth installment in the Sly Cooper series, and the direct sequel to Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. There is no official release datethat has been confirmed, but it will be 2012. Glen Egan has said to expect it to release in the fall of this year.
