Skype to play a large role on the next Xbox?

Skype could play a large role in online communication on the next Xbox.

According to CVG: “A person familiar with the matter said Microsoft will be ‘consolidating all their communications technology’ around the Skype platform.” This means the software could be the default method of communication across the Xbox, PC and tablets.

Microsoft acquired Skype in 2011 for $8.5 billion, making it their largest ever acquisition in its forty year history.
