See What Happens When You Connect a PS4 into Xbox One

Technical sleuths Digital Foundry have plugged in a new PlayStation 4 into an Xbox One’s HDMI IN socket, meaning you can play your PlayStation 4 games through the Xbox One interface, with its Kinect voice commands and snap functionality.

However doing such a crazy act does come with its own issues. Basically input lag is the issue here, which isn’t much of a problem when streaming TV/Cable through the HDMI IN socket, but for gaming, it is best to connect both consoles into their own HDMI sockets for the best experience.
