Sam & Max Season 2 and Axel & Pixel out now

Wednesday means one thing. Not just lazy days for said author sitting in front of a laptop all day long ,but the long-awaited weekly release on the Xbox Live Arcade.

We’ve got two treats this week as well. The first of which is Sam and Max Season 2 also known as Beyond Time and Space.

Shamelessly stolen from Major Nelson, the game is about:

Join the Freelance Police for a second season of adventure, crime fighting, and chaos. Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space is a 5-episode trek from the North Pole to Easter, from outer space to Hell and back. Babies will dance. Mariachis will sing. A giant battle robot will trash the streets. And when their friends are caught in the middle, Sam & Max will risk their very souls to set things right.

It’ll set you back a whopping 1600 MS Points (£13.60 in old currency) which is a fair asking point for an Arcade game, what with the GTA Episodes costing the same. Still we can’t compare, can we?

For those who like things cheap, you could always grab Axel & Pixel for 800 MS Points (£6.80 in old money).

Once again a stolen description tells us:

Axel and Pixel are trapped in a beautiful but dangerous dream world. If they plan to get out they must solve its mysteries.

We haven’t a clue what else the latter title offers us, but perhaps go check it out and tell us below. Full reviews if our invites aren’t lost in the post, soon.
