Rumours have been circulating in Japan that Resident Evil 5 (known as Biohazard 5 in Japan) will only be released on PS3 in the land of the rising sun. The rumour originated from a Japanese website, which only listed the game for PS3.
After being named as one of the most wanted games by Japanese gaming bible Famitsu, rumours have suggested that Capcom have dropped the game fro Xbox 360, in Japan at least. While only a rumour, it is very possible that Capcom will not release the game on the 360 due to the consoles poor sales in Japan.
The rumours don’t suggest that we won’t see the game on Xbox 360 in Europe or North America and, with the console fairing much better in almost every other region, this seems unlikely.
With the Leipzig Games Covention and the Tokyo Games Show just around the corner, expect the rumours to be confirmed or denied fairly soon.
