Reason For October GTA:IV Delay Revealed

After rumour upon rumour of why Grand Theft Auto: IV was delayed from October 2007 to 29th April 2008, Rockstar Games’ Jeronimo Barrera has said to MTV: “It’s really no surprise to anybody that the PS3 was definitely a contributing factor to that.” But despite that, the two platforms are now “neck and neck”.

He continued: “Back then that was something we were taking into account. That’s not to say there’s anything wrong with the PS3 version. It’s awesome. They’re both identical.” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnicck gave the reason for the original October 2007 release date delay which was “technological problems.”
