RE5 Director’s Cut titled ‘Alternative Edition’

If you have not played Resident Evil 5 yet or enjoyed the game so much that you’d play again with some new scenes then news of a director’s cut might be of interest.

After a recent interview with Patricia Ja Lee, voice of Jill Valentine, rumours of a director’s cut edition of Resident Evil 5 have been flowing around the internet. Patricia accidently told unWiredTV that she was recording new lines for Jill Valentine for new scenes in Resident Evil 5.

The trailer above shows more Jill and Chris action that was not included in the previous release of RE5. Siliconera have been digging through some of the beta concept art and found some interesting pieces that might be included in the ‘Alternative Edition’ of Resident Evil 5.

The concept art shows Sheva being captured, Chris finding Jill strapped up and also Sheva holding onto Jill. This could mean there will be co-op moments with Chris and Jill or even Sheva and Jill. I’d be very interested to see how Sheva and Jill work with one another.

No word yet if the extra content will be released as DLC for those who already own the game, nor a release date. I really enjoyed RE5 and would probably end up buying a whole new copy if I had to.
