PS4 system update 1.75 introduces 3D Blu-ray support next week

A new PlayStation 4 system update will begin rolling out next week introducing support for 3D Blu-rays.

System update 1.75 follows shortly after the launch of Tuesday’s1.74 update, a minor update that further tweaked system stability.

Whether any further functionality will be introduced with 1.75 remains uncertain, although its sudden roll-out means PS4 may end up beating Xbox One to 3D Blu-ray support after all.

Xbox One’s next update – which brings 3D Blu-ray support to the console along with arevamped social hub- launches next month.
