Possible 100 Friend List Limit to be Increased

Who here has 100 people on their friends list? I know for one I have and let me tell you that organising and deleting people has become such a chore.

As you would have guessed there are a large amount of people who use Xbox Live to communicate with their friends like a social network. After NXE released the amount of friend requests has increased 33% and it would seem that was a push for those busy people at Microsoft to consider increasing the friend limit.

This has been on topic before and the blame was on popular Xbox titles such as Halo 2 where the old Xbox lobby system is still used with that lousy 100 friend list cap. Aaron Greenberg, the Product Management Director over at Microsoft, spoke to Joystiq at CES about the cap and even revealed that there will be an extension to look forward to.

“I can’t commit to when that will happen, but that is something we want to do. It’s definitely something we’re looking at expanding and, as this social network grows, we’ve absolutely heard the pleas for that. It’s on the list.”

I know personally this would be total life savour. Are you affected by the current limit? Let us know how you feel.
