Sony have announced that they will be taking down the servers for some of their high profile games. Among the games receiving the chop is Motorstorm: Pacific Rift which was released in 2008.
Another high profile game includes SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3. The online features will be chopped from 1st October 2012, so if you want to re-live the past, or are still playing online now, make the most of it.
