Peggle, Crystal Defenders and The Maw DLC this Wednesday

Despite Major Nelson’s latest podcast being titled: “The Mini Unscheduled Show” and lasting 27 minutes, there is one announcement which has seemed like a lifetime away. Peggle has been confirmed for release this Wednesday on the Xbox Live Arcade. The announcement comes at around 13:40 through the podcast.

Do you have what it takes to be a Peggle Master? Take your best shot in the new version of Peggle, exclusively for Xbox LIVE Arcade! Shoot and clear all the orange pegs to achieve Extreme Fever. Conquer 55 wild levels as 10 outlandish Masters help you rise to Peggle greatness. Wield 10 Magic Powers in Adventure mode… and you’re just getting started! Details of why Peggle has taken so long to arrive can be found in Off the Radar: Xbox Live Arcade: Part 1 and you can read more about it here.

As well as confirming the release of Peggle, Major Nelson also announced that Square Enix’s Crystal Defenders, which started life out on mobile phones, will be arriving alongside Peggle this Wednesday. Not much is known about the Xbox Live Arcade version of Crystal Defenders.

But that’s not all as it has been confirmed The Maw’s latest downloadable content “River Redirect” will also release on Wednesday for 100 160 Microsoft Points. Both Crystal Defenders and Peggle will be priced at 800 Microsoft Points.

You can expect a review of Peggle towards the end of the week, unless we’re all secretly playing it in our sleep…
