Peggle 2 update adds multiplayer duel mode

PopCap has released a freePeggle 2update which adds a new duel multiplayer mode.

The Xbox One timed exclusive launched in December without a multiplayer mode, but PopCap assured fans of the series thatmultiplayer would be introducedvia a free update.

Weighing in at 1588MB, the download provides players with four options: Smart Match (an online duel against strangers), Private Peg Party (duels for a group of friends online), Private Duel (duel for two friends online) and Local Duel (local multiplayer).

“This new mode will enable players to compete against each other, in the same room or across the Internet, head-to-head on the same board,” said Peggle 2 producer Jared Neuss when the modewas originally announcedback in December.
