Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus set for HD remade

Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus is set to be remade, it has been revealed.

The “full ground-up remake” is being handled by Oddworld Inhabitants, who also handled the Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysey remake, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty.

In a post on their website, the game’s developer said: “We get asked every day whether this is going to happen so it’s nice to finally be able to say that this is indeed our intention.”

The post continued: “Rest assured that the Wii U and PlayStation Vita versions of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty are still in development and are planned for release later this year.

“The PlayStation 3 version is in the very final stages of development and it will be out very soon.”

Abe’s Exoddus was originally released on the PS1 and PC in 1997.
