Sharp-tongued Oasis guitarist, Noel Gallagher, slates Guitar Hero in an interview with Total Guitar magazine:
“When I meet kids I always say to them playing a guitar is not a f**king videogame, there is no level to get to. You’ll never master it and you’ll never complete the game.”
I don’t know about you, but I always get an acute pang of annoyance whenever some rich man on his high horse deigns to belittle one of my favourite games. Guitar Hero never tried to become a means to play actual music, it’s just a game! I reckon old Noel here’s getting a bit uneasy about some of the skills that the very best at Guitar Hero are exhibiting.
Watch out, mate, some uppity, young underdog will be taking your place in no time! Pfft. Celebrities!
