If all the Pre-E3 leaks weren’t bad enough, Nintendo will be also be jumping the announcement gates by releasing a Pre-E3 event of their very own.
At 11pm GMT today (Sunday), Nintendo will be holding a small Pre-E3 broadcast before their own press briefing on Tuesday 5th.
The event, titled Nintendo Direct, will be streamed live from Japan and will see Global President Satoru Iwata reveal new information about the new Wii U console.
It appears that Nintendo wants to fulfill expectations of their console before their competitors can show their own wares, or perhaps Tuesday’s briefing slot just isn’t long enough for them to cover everything. Either way, anything can be better than last year’s lackluster unveiling of their new console.
Whether it is tonight’s broadcast, or Tuesday’s briefing, we hope Nintendo bring us in-depth details on the Wii U hardware, an improved Nintendo Network experience, as-well-as show us more of what we will be playing on them – hopefully more ‘core titles.
