News has hit us that there will be even more judgement to dish out come April 23rd as Gears of War Judgement gets some DLC.

The ‘Call to Arms’ DLC will include three new MP maps, six new armour and gun skills as well as a new game mode, ‘Master at Arms’.

The new game mode is a free for all where players have to aim to get a kill with each of the 20 different weapons available within the map, without melee or grenade assistance. The way we are told it will work is that each successful kill will advance you onto the next weapon until you have used them all.

It will be an interesting idea and is a good concept but I don’t know how it will go down with people. I know for me I am not great at handling ranged weapons so I think regardless of the player, completing this with all 20 weapons will be a challenge.

With the Maps we have some details and screens

Blood Drive – Based around one of the last surviving hospitals following a global blood donor campaign by COG forces

Gears1

Terminal – No this is not a Gears airport map, instead this is set at a train station overtaken by the Locust

gears2

Boneyard – Perhaps the more traditional type of Gears map, this is focused around a graveyard setting for players to navigate around the empty holes that are ready for them to fall into

gears3

The DLC is available to season pass holders on 23rd April and available to everyone else on 30th April for 1000MSP.
