Neo Geo classics hit PSN

Osaka-based games company, SNK Playmore, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Neo Geo in style with the launch of the ‘Neo Geo Station’ for the Playstation Network.

The retro hub, which will be made available on December 21st, will allow gamers to download a selection of the handheld’s best titles on PS3 and PSP, with games costing $8.99 and $6.99 respectively.

These aren’t just emulated versions of the original games, either; SNK promises online co-op and versus play on PS3(and Ad-Hoc Party support on PSP), as well as a bevy of unspecified changes.

The service will launch with ten games on PS3, and two on PSP, with many more to follow in January 2011.
