It’s been really tempting to play Mass Effect now with the NXE install feature. I’ve been dreaming of a playthrough without texture pop in’s and that long load time being reduced. To encourage me even further it seems the rumour mill is hitting on even more Mass Effect episodic content.
When Mass Effect was released they were very pushy on the ‘DLC’ side of things, telling us we’d be seeing plenty of episodic packs to enhance our space adventure. Only 1 pack was released in the end, which was ‘Bring Down the Sky’ – a two hour boost to your game play for a small fee. Fans were a little disappointed and the only thing that has cheered us up was the sequel announcement.
So it surprises me that Jay Wakamaniuk, community manager for BioWare, has stated that new Mass Effect DLC is on it’s way for the Comic Con weekend. He also failed to provide any information on the DLC pack and what will be going on with it. The last time we heard about new DLC for Mass Effect was back in August and that has never materialized.
Until EA or BioWare hit us up with any announcement I can only see this as a rumour. If this was true however, would you be excited? Do you think this is just a ploy to get people excited about Mass Effect again before the sequel is churned out?
