Modern Warfare 2 rated ’18’ by BBFC

Modern Warfare 2 will be the first Call of Duty game to receive an 18 BBFC certificate.

The BBFC website contains details of the rating which also labels the game as just ‘Modern Warfare 2’, without the Call of Duty tag prefixed.

In the listing, it tells us that the rating was given due to the ‘Strong Bloody Violence’ featured in the game. It also mentions that the work passed with no cuts made. Which is good news.

If you have failed to realise, MW2 is quite possibly the most anticipated game ever and is out on the 10th November.

Will the 18 certificate put off parents of younger gamers? Tell us below.
