Minecraft: Xbox One Edition dated, upgrade offer revealed

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will launch this Friday on the Xbox Store.

The next generation version of the sandbox game boasts worlds up to 36 times larger than on Xbox 360 and gamers will be able to transfer their favourite Xbox 360 worlds to the Xbox One edition.

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition is priced at £15.99 and contains support for up to four players on one console and eight players over Xbox Live.

As an added bonus, those who own the Xbox 360 version of the game will be able to upgrade to the Xbox One edition for £3.99. To qualify for the upgrade, players must own the retail disc or digital version of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and connect to Xbox Live with their account.

The full game will be available as a digital download code in select retailers later this month, with the full game packaged disc will be on retail shelves before Christmas.
