Microsoft snaps up Tenchu Z

Microsoft has announced they have snapped up the publishing rights for FromSoftware’s Tenchu Z. It’ll be the first ninja based game to appear on the 360 while we wait the inevitable announcement of Ninja Gaiden 2.

Tenchu Z (known as Tenchu Senran in it’s native Japan) is the eighth Tenchu title and the second to appear on an Xbox platform (the first being the 2004 Xbox title Tenchu: Return from Darkness). Unlike previous Tenchu games, in Z you’ll be able to create your own ninja from scratch and level up as you progress through the game. It’s bigger than previous Tenchu games with over 50 missions and Xbox Live co-op play will also be included.

The game is currently schduled for release in Japan some time later this year with a US and European release to follow suit.
