Microsoft released a press release earlier today, announcing a “new Xbox 360 Wireless Microphone” which would be compatible with the likes of ““Lips,” “Guitar Hero Metallica,” “Rock Band 2” and “Disney Sing It: High School Musical 3: Senior Year” as well as new blockbusters available this holiday, including “Lips: Number One Hits” and “The Beatles: Rock Band.”
The microphone will retail at about $49.99 (around the £30 mark) when it releases. Major Nelson released the following image of the microphone via his Twitter:
Currently, the microphone is not available as a standalone accessory as it must be purchased with Lips. The press release suggests it will be available as a standalone accessory in the Autumn.
