Microsoft Game Room Update

The opening of Microsoft’s Games Room didn’t get off to the greatest of starts; a lacklustre selection of games along with some glitch issues preventing people from launching the application, dampened what many were expecting to be a glorious launch.

Retro game fans might be disappointed to learn then, that the selection of games available in the arcade is not going to be improved on until the end of April, at which point weekly additions will become the norm.

In a posting on the Xbox Forums from trilobiting, he stated that the company “Just wanted to provide some clarification on when you can expect to see new games up on Game Room, as there appears to be some confusion around that area. New games will be added to the service every week, starting in late April.

In the meantime, the team would love to see your feedback on the current set of games and the games you’d like to see in the future.”

Marty Greenwell

Marty has been gaming since the heady years of the ZX-81 and still owns most of the gaming systems purchased since those days, including the Atari 2600, ZX Spectrum, SNES, Jaguar, Dreamcast and GameCube. Being a collection junkie (or more accurately, hoarder), he buys more games than he can possibly play, far too many of which are still sealed in their packaging. Marty favours RPGs and Driving games when it comes to genres, and is possibly a little bit too addicted to Disgaea. When not gaming he’s out frightening OAPs on his motorcycle, clad in black leather.
