Microsoft has denied that a Blu-ray drive is being created for the Xbox 360 once again.
Rumours keep floating around the internet that following the failure of the HD-DVD format that Microsoft would join Sony and create a Blu-ray product.
However it has told Edge Online once again that it is all nonsense:
“As we’ve said before, Microsoft has no plans to introduce an Xbox 360 Blu-ray add-on. Games are what drive consumers to purchase game consoles, and we remain focused on providing the largest library of blockbuster games available,”
Prices were also doing the rounds for such a device with people claiming it would cost between USD 100 and USD 150.
The rumoured price was to be between USD 100 and USD 150. However Microsoft still insists that digital distribution is the future.
