Peace Walker creeps onto PS3 and Xbox this November
During the Konami pre-E3 press presentation it was announced that a Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and Zone of the Enders HD Collection will be making their way to both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Included in the collection is Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2), Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS3) and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP) for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and Zone of the Enders (PS2) and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner (PS2) for the Zone of the Enders HD Collection.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker in the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will feature a new system that Konami are calling ‘Transfarring’ that will allow you to transfer your save from the PS3 to the PSP, and vice versa, and continue your game regardless of platform. Konami promise to roll this feature out for future products and aim to eventually have PS3 to PSNGP fully connected.
The collections were confirmed to be full conversions, and not simply running off an emulator. That means new interfaces to suit HD resolutions, redrawn textures and fonts, trophies/achievements, improved audio and taking advantage of modern day control schemes.
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be released in November, and the Zone of the Enders HD Collection will be released sometime in 2012.
Being a huge fan of the Metal Gear Solid series in particular this news is quenching enough that I doubt anything from E3 can compete. How do you feel with the increase in popularity of HD remakes and this recent announcement of two Hideo Kojima classic series coming to the modern generation?
