Mercenaries 2 Confirmed for Xbox 360

EA Games and Pandemic have announced that the previously PS3-exclusive Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, will in fact, as long suspected, be coming to Xbox 360. What’s more, the game will be released simultaneously with the PS3, PC and PS2 versions.

Pandemic Studios CEO Andrew Goldman said:
“Mercenaries 2: World in Flames delivers the next evolution in explosive open world gameplay – regardless of the system you play it on. All four platforms are incredible gaming machines, and from the beginning we designed an experience that accentuates their individual strengths and delivers the interactive freedom and explosive action Mercenaries fans demand.”

EA Partners vice president and general manager, David DeMartini added:
“EA Partners is proud to team up with Pandemic Studios to help execute a seamless, simultaneous global release for Mercenaries 2: World in Flames on four platforms. The team at Pandemic Studios is building an incredible game that will blow away gamers in all regions of the world.”

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is planned for a “Holiday 2007” release (so that’ll be Christmas then?). Keep it here at ConsoleMonster.com for more on Mercs2 when we get it.
