Mass Effect is not a three game franchise

Greg Zeschuk, co-founder of Mass Effect at BioWare has expressed that the Mass Effect franchise will not end with the conclusion of Mass Effect 3, what was announced to be a single trilogy storyline.

Zeschuk said. “Believe me, we have our work cut out for us for the next little while getting Mass Effect 3 done after this. Don’t worry if you love Mass Effect, there will be more Mass Effect in the future.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that the Commander Sheppard storyline will continue, as the depth of the games lore would allow for many new heroes and villains to come along and create a trilogy of their own. Putting anticipation and curiosity aside, Sheppard is certainly the hero for some time to come.
