MAG shown and dated for fall

Have you ever wanted to play a multiplayer game where you entered battle with 255 other gamers from around the world? Well if that answer was yes, then MAG (Massive Action Game) is the game for you.

At Sony’s E3 conference Zipper Interactive demonstrated the unbelievable 256-player multiplayer battle live. This marks the first time live in-game footage has been shown and it ran pretty smoothly. Obviously the 256 players arent all together, so players are split up into seperate squads where you have to infiltrate the enemy. There will also be different roles for everyone to play with some gamers being scouts, while others may be the frontline of that squad.

Apart from that, there wasn’t much else said.

SCEA CEO Jack Tretton did state however that the game is slated for release “this Fall.”

Are you interested in playing with potentially 255 other gamers you don’t know? I’m intrigued to see how the chat system is going to work as I could imagine that would be pretty crazy. Discuss your thoughts by leaving a comment below!
