With the recent release of the Sony Playstation 3 in South Africa, many have said this is the biggest technological advancement in games development to this day, it would appear that Sony have taken it one step to far with their new Playstation 3 advertisement which aired via the CNA website which stated;

“The PS3 is built on the revolutionary cell-processor, which is 8 times more powerful than most computers… [and] RSX Graphics Technology — twice as powerful as the most advanced computer graphics engine available today.”

Four South African’s have gone to their country’s Advertising Standards Authority [ASA] to complain that these remarks are misleading as there is no proof that the Playstation 3 is what it claims to be. the ASA have actually removed the PS3 ad from airing in South Africa.
