Left 4 Dead 2 reaches 2,000,000 sales

“Where you 1 of the 2,000,000 gamers who purchased Left 4 Dead 2…?”

Speaking to MCVUK Valve have announced that their zombie shooter Left 4 Dead 2 has already surpassed the 2,000,000 copies purchased doubling that of its predecessor, Left 4 Dead. It was also confirmed that over 1,000,000 Xbox LIVE Gold account members had played the game, although I would think that would be pretty obvious if 2,000,000 people had purchased the game.

Doug Lombardi, Valve’s VP of Marketing, also commented on the great reviews the game has received; “Left 4 Dead 2 is off to a great start with strong support at retail and great reviews from the press,” . Our Reece scored the game 89% stating that it was a fantastic co-op experience done right. You can read his view on the game by clicking here.

Valve have also promised that news of the game’s first DLC will be announced shortly. Let’s hope that it’s free. Discuss below!
