Left 4 Dead 2 DLC update incoming

Today Valve officially released the latest, and perhaps final, map pack for Left 4 Dead 2 on PC and Mac. The ‘Cold Stream‘ pack includes all the maps from the original Left 4 Dead, and the all-new community created map ‘Cold Stream’. Along with that, they have also added the ability to choose any of the immensely popular weekly ‘mutations’ for players to use at will.

What does all this mean for consoles? Well they have also announced that the maps and all other updates will be coming to the Xbox 360 in the very near future. It’s currently unclear if DLC will include new achievements, but it has been priced to set you back 560MSP.

To sweeten the pot, they have also announced official Left 4 Dead Minecraft skins.

Yes, all eight of our favorite zombie-bashing survivors will soon be available to download, ready to swap brain-eating zombies for exploding Creepers. The skin pack is set to release next month, but no price has been announced.

So what do you think of this flood of Left 4 Dead content? Are you excited? Is it perhaps too little, too late? Let us know in the comments section below!
