James Bond 007: Legends announced

A new James Bond title has been announced.

Developed by Eurocom and published by Activision, James Bond 007: Legends will relive Bond’s most iconic and intense undercover missions from the film franchise.

The multiplayer will include local four-player split-screen game modes and online gameplay with new maps, weapons and characters from Bond’s 50 year legacy.

According to an Amazon listing, James Bond 007: Legends will also feature Kinect support.

David Oxford, Executive Vice President at Activision Publishing, said: “To honour 50 years of the world’s top secret agent, 007 Legends offers a collection of his most famed moments in the smartest and most treacherous Bond game yet.

He continued: “Creating a video game storyline that ties together six popular, yet very different, Bond movie narratives can be challenging, but together with EON Productions, our developer Eurocom, has pulled it off to create an homage that we think will be a unique and highly entertaining Bond video game.

No exact release date has been revealed but it is expected to release in the run up to Christmas 2012 on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
