Tomonobu Itagaki, the man at the helm of Team Ninja, has confirmed that Dead or Alive 5 is currently in the works. Speaking at a special tenth anniversary event for the Dead or Alive series, Itagaki said he already has the “first in-game ’play concepts’ in mind”.

Itagaki went on to say that DoA5 will drop the tag team matches seen in past DoA’s, but no other details were announced. No release date was confirmed, nor, in fact, which platforms the game will be on. But with Microsoft and Tecmo getting along like a house on fire, it’s a safe bet it’ll appear on the 360.
