Interactive adverts coming to the Xbox 360

Microsoft has unveiled that interactive adverts are coming to the Xbox 360.

Last week, Microsoft filed the trademark for the name, NUads, describing the service as “advertising services, namely, promoting and marketing the goods and services of others through online interactive videogames.”

According to a blog post on Microsoft Advertising, “until the advent of Kinect, no one really understood that the key to making TV interactive was right in front of us all along: the audience. People are inherently interactive all on their own. We just needed the technology to get out of their way.”

NUads will allow players to interact with the adverts through their voice and gestures and is likely to appear during interactive TV, a feature that was announced at E3 earlier this month.
