Halo: Reach Beta launches but not without its problems

The Halo: Reach Beta is now available to download and play through Halo 3: ODST. To access the Beta, players simply need to select the “Play the Beta” option on the menu screen of the ‘Campaign’ disc. The file is 1.15 GB in size so it’s advisable to do something else in the mean time, such as reading the Console Monster hands-on impression of Halo: Reach.

However, the Beta has launched with a number of problems. Many gamers have been greeted to a message reading: “The Halo: Reach server is not available at this time.” Furthermore, there are also reports of the playlist data taking a long time to download. Both problems appear to be as a result of the heavy demand caused by the influx of Halo: Reach players. At this moment in time there is no known solution for the problems, other than to have a bit of patience.
