The Gran Turismo series has sold over 55 million copies worldwide, according to reports from GameSpot.
4.65 million of those is from Gran Turismo 5 Prolouge – the prequel to the game that never launches.
The main hits were GT3 A-spec on PS2 and GT4 selling 14.98 million and 10.98 million respectively.
Numbers were boosted by the recent PSP launch of the game.
We’ll never quite know when Gran Turismo 5 is due, but we’ll keep you posted on that fateful day when it is finally announced.
