God of War III demo hits the PlayStation Store for all

For those chomping at the bit to see if God of War III really doesn’t have any loading transitions (as reported earlier today), the answer is but a download away.

The full game is due in the latter half of March, and is the first proper PS3 outing for Kratos and his weapons of mass destruction. The demo, as featured at E3 2009 and weighing in at a hefty 2.6GB, was previously available to those who had purchase the God of War Collection or pre-ordered the game. Sony have now seen fit to release it to everyone else on the network.

Gamers will be able to battle creatures of the undead, centaurs, chimera and even a cyclops in this brief glimpse of the final game.

If you download it, let us know what you thought of the experience and whether this will influence your purchase choice.

Marty Greenwell

Marty has been gaming since the heady years of the ZX-81 and still owns most of the gaming systems purchased since those days, including the Atari 2600, ZX Spectrum, SNES, Jaguar, Dreamcast and GameCube. Being a collection junkie (or more accurately, hoarder), he buys more games than he can possibly play, far too many of which are still sealed in their packaging. Marty favours RPGs and Driving games when it comes to genres, and is possibly a little bit too addicted to Disgaea. When not gaming he’s out frightening OAPs on his motorcycle, clad in black leather.
