It was announced yesterday that Gears of War, one of last years top games for the Xbox 360, has sold more than 3 Million copies in just under 10 weeks!
That figure rewards the game with the title of “2006 top selling-game” among all platforms during December.
Microsoft continued their boasting by saying that the new Multi-player maps that were released recently have been downloaded more than 750,000 times via the XBL Marketplace, with all the Gears of War online content togetheramassing more than 1.5Million downloads!
I’ve resisted the urge throughout this whole postto mention anything about Halo or Halo 2…Ah crap I mentioned them. Ah well, I might as well continue – According to Wikipedia, Halo 2 has sold more than 7 Million copies – Do you rekon GoW will become the new Halo?
