Rumours have today surfaced regarding the possible name to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s first DLC package. With ZeniMax Media (Bethesdas parent company) filing a trademakr for the ‘Dawnguard’ name it’s no wonder the online gaming fraternity is somewhat buzzing.
The trademark is for “computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices.” In essence we could in fact be looking at an entirely new game, although with DLC just around the corner for Skyrim it does seem somewhat coincidental that this trademark has gone in now.
Bethesdas Todd Howard said the DLC will focus on “ways to make the game better, not just have more, because the game is so big”.
Don’t expect this to be a one off with multiple DLC packages undoubtedly in the pipeline for Skyrim fans to enjoy.
What’s more Microsoft has also agreed to ‘timed-exclusives’ with the first two Skyrim DLC packs to be released.
